Sculpting an Identity
This cultural institution wished for a new corporate typeface that would reflect the iconic architecture of their building. In a collaboration between the agency, our foundry, designer Laurenz Brunner, and a specialist coder, we developed a novel 3D version of our library typeface for use in signage, print and on screen.
Client: Sydney Opera House
Agency: Interbrand, Sydney
Introduced: 2016

Custom-made 3D font technology – The new alphabet was elevated from the library typeface with a specialised rendering software developed for this particular project.

2D applicability – Next to actual 3D characters embedded in the architectural environment, 2D drawings of the alphabet guarantee wide applicability in printed matter, merchandising, and more.

Font pairing – Despite their unique look, the character shapes effortlessly match the logo, while also permitting versatile combinations with the full family of our library typeface.
