Basic Licencing
Desktop
Lineto’s desktop licence is our basic licence to use desktop fonts on workstations to design, produce and edit printable and digital assets. It includes basic publication rights for printed media such as books, periodicals, flyers, brochures, etc. Additional licencing may be required for corporate and/or campaign print use. Our desktop licences are calculated according to the number of users (employees of the licence holding company who install or have access to the fonts) and the number of locations (separate business offices) where these users are situated.
A 3rd party desktop licence is a licence extension to enable agencies, partners, freelancers, etc. to use fonts for work on behalf of a specific, existing licence holder. Each assigned agency, partner, freelancer, etc. is required to buy their own, separate licence directly from Lineto GmbH.
Web Licence
Lineto’s web licence is for using webfonts for displaying dynamic text on specific website domains. The licence is limited to a particular main domain or domains and their subdomains, and calculated by the average number of monthly page-views for each domain. Our web font-package contains WOFF and WOFF2 files that can be included via the @font-face feature. We do not partner with any cloud-based hosting services.
App Licence
Licence to use fonts in native, web or hybrid apps, on stationary, mobile or built-in devices like personal computers, smart phones, medical instruments, entertainment systems, game consoles etc.
