Joel Nordström
When Joel Nordström (*1974) was an exchange student at ECAL in 2001, he was connected to Lineto through his colleague Samuel Nyholm of REALA. He released LL Easyscript (2000) and LL Kada (2002), and he worked with Jürg Lehni’s drawing robot Hektor.
Back in Stockholm, Joel and his collaborator Lars Ohlin began to make animated short movies that employed graphic 3D shapes. The two of them founded their label RGB6 in 2004. After their practice paved their way into advertisement, they set up a production company, Aspekt. RGB6’s unusual narratives and visual style have earned them a following in the advertisement industry. Among many other prizes, they won two gold medals at Cannes Lions 2014 for their IKEA ads.
