Style Linking
Style Linking is a feature made available by Microsoft within their operating system Windows and their own applications such as Office. Lineto have engineered their fonts to take advantage of this feature and make our fonts compatible on Windows machines. If you have purchased from Lineto a font style called ”Regular” together with ” Bold” and ”Italic” from the same font family, you will notice that bold and italic fonts disappear from application font menus and instead are accessible from within the application itself by clicking on the B (for Bold) or I (for Italic) formatting buttons.
Bold and italic styles of font families used on the Mac OS and in other non-Microsoft applications that do not have the style-linking feature, such as the Adobe Creative Suite, will appear correctly and be accessible from the applications font menus.
