Clemens Piontek
(*1987) received a BA in Visual Communication from ECAL/Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne in 2014 and then interned at Bonbon in Zurich. Following 2015 he slowly built his Zurich-based studio, while also contributing to the identity of Skulptur Projekte Münster by Lehni/Trueb (2015–17). From 2018 to 2022, he was responsible for the various websites of Schauspielhaus Zurich at Studio Laurenz Brunner, where he also served as Art Director for Source Type.
Fully working as an independent designer since 2022, Piontek released a display typeface called Mosaic at Maxitype in early 2024, derived from the five-letter logo of Italian tiles manufacturer Cilsa. From 2025 to 2027, he designs the identity of the Swiss Art Awards in collaboration with Clio Hadjigeorgiou.
