James Goggin
(*1975) founded Practise in London with his partner Shan James in 1999. Between 2003 and 2010 his studio had Tate Modern and Tate Britain as clients, and from 2010 to 2013 he served as Director of Design at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. James taught at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) from 2016 to 2021. Today he and Shan are working out of Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), Aotearoa (New Zealand).

Laurenz Brunner
(*1980) worked in London under the art director James Goggin in 2002/03, before receiving a BA from Gerrit Rietveld Academie in 2005. He is the author of LL Akkurat (2004), LL Circular (2013) and LL Bradford (2018), among many more typefaces he employs in his graphic design work. In 2018, Laurenz moved his studio to Zurich, where he launched Source Type, an office for typographic research in 2022.

Jonathan Hares
(*1976) completed the Royal College of Art and set up studio in London, where he quickly made a name for himself as editorial designer with a penchant for conceptually strong yet minimally beautiful creations. He later moved to Lausanne, Switzerland, where he shared a studio with Aurèle Sack and Robert Huber. He is a long-time teacher at écal, and has been working closely with Lineto since 2016, where he is art directing website and communications.

Rafael Koch
(*1976) is a graduate of Fachklasse Grafik in Lucerne. He was introduced to the Prismaset idea while interning at James Goggin’s office in London in 2003. From 2006 to 2017, he lead the development of LL Prismaset A. In 2011, he co-initiated Rokfor, an online platform for the template based design of publications. He co-founded Zurich based design agency Noir Associates in 2016.

Mauro Paolozzi
(*1975) graduated from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague in 2000 and completed the postgraduate class Type & Media (2000–01). From 2006 on, Mauro contributed to the development of LL Prismaset A (2017), and he later initiated LL Prismaset B (2019). He has designed identities for a number of cultural institutions in Switzerland.

Arve Båtevik
(*1991) received an MA in Art Direction from ECAL for an analysis of the geometric sans-serif genre in 2017. While interning at Cornel Windlin’s Berlin studio in the summer of 2016, he was involved in creating LL Prismaset B (2019). He worked at Lineto in Zurich from 2017 to 2020, drawing LL Supreme among others. Arve is now an independent graphic designer in Norway.

Cornel Windlin
(*1964) founded Lineto with Stephan Müller, a long-time friend and early collaborator on type design projects, in 1993. Five years later, he developed Lineto into a platform for the distribution of fonts. He created identities for Schauspielhaus Zürich (1999-2000), Vitra Home Collection (2004–08) and TATE ETC. (2004–2010), among others. Cornel set up Alphabet Berlin with Stephan Müller and Andreas Eigendorf in 2014. Since 2016, he works out of Zurich.

Viktoriya Grabowska
(*1988) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts (now University of Arts) in Poznań, Poland in 2010. She has been running the University’s Type Design Studio with Prof. Krzysztof Kochnowicz ever since, while also teaching at the School of Form. Following 2012, Viktoriya consulted NORM on the Cyrillic version of their corporate typeface for Swatch, and in 2014 she drew the Heavy Italic cut of LL Replica (2008). In 2015, she started collaboration with Darden Studio, NY, of which she became a full member in 2019. Since 2016, Viktoriya has also been developing an educational typeface for the blind, called Maria Theresia, which she refines in the frame of her PhD research. Most recently, she conducted a thorough diacritics revision of the LL Unica77 family and collaborated with Aurèle Sack on the Cyrillic version of LL Grey. Viktoriya created the complete Cyrillic counterparts to the LL Prisma styles.
