designed by hansjakob fehr, 1999
an old typewriter was taken apart and the different metal parts were used to build a mechanical version of the internet for an interactive installation at a group exhibition - a slightly dadaist take on terms like software and hardware. later, the leftovers were digitised, creating digital symbols out of the mechanical parts, and assembled in this tribute to a disappearing communication tool.
